ABOUT RASHA

Rasha Guerrier has various experiences with television reporting, video production, and more.

She's honored to have completed her role as a Digital Production Assistant at WABC-TV Channel 7, Eyewitness News in New York, NY. Rasha played a major part in helping the digital team from pulling video files for producers, to updating breaking stories on the station's social media handles on top of pitching and producing original digital stories for ABC7NY.com

Previously, she was at ABC's WFAA News 8 in Dallas, TX where was a part of their Producer Development Program. At the station, she's done everything from stacking and writing stories for producers to shooting and writing for the web on WFAA's website. She's also field produced live shots and helped cover multiple MOS stories. Her favorite story was covering  the Dallas Mega March this past April; a peaceful protest advocating for immigration reform. At the protest, she shot stills for WFAA's digital team while tweeting during the march as well. The gallery of photos can be seen here

She proudly ended her final college semester being selected to be part of Penn State's Centre County Report's Friday newscast. It aired on PBS through WPSU and was live streamed on http://commedia.psu.edu. It gave her a chance to package together intriguing stories that ranged from student issues, to local and political topics.

While being at Penn State, she also had the opportunity to be a part of PSU's College of Communications Short Documentary Workshop. It allowed her to work with professional alumni coaches that assisted her in creating her own short documentary film. From shooting and interviewing, to editing, she enjoyed the process and hopes to create many more captivating, long-form stories in the future. Her short doc can be seen here.

Rasha enjoys packaging, storytelling, and distributing her content through as many platforms as possible. As a multimedia journalist, she appreciates the opportunity it gives her to produce character-driven stories that are heart-felt, influential, and impactful. She's very proud of her skills and plans to explore her talents much more by bringing the everyday experiences and moments of her viewers to television and online.
